As i m experimenting with different papers i m finding it isn t so much.
Yes it is bit more of an investment than traditional letterpress printing on white paper but the finished product is oh so dreamy.
Also if you buy black paper and print on it and foil does that work or does the foil adhere to the black paper.
Requested video i tried foiling on black card stock using my inexpensive laminating machine and i got some good result.
Do you know if this same project would work on black cardstock.

Make sure that nothing touches the printing on the paper as it comes out of the printer.
Printing isn t as easy when you print on black card stock.
The coated paper that comes with the minc kit works.
Let the printing dry completely before stacking anything on top of the foil paper which may take up to 30 minutes.

I haven t yet had the opportunity to design white engraving or foil on black paper so i don t have any photos to share.
It works great with thick papers and heavy textures and we love to give it a bump with an embossing plate too to create a raised printing effect.
Our premium black cards are a premium product due to the high quality and caliber of card that is used as well as the higher production costs from foiling embossing rather than printing.

Printing black business cards takes special consideration as most pantone inks are transparent and disappear into the black paper surface.
